I Never Left Scandinavia…

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

SICK FILMS is releasing I Never Left the White Room into Scandinavian territories. They’re excepting pre-orders, grab yours now! All other areas, it’s still available straight from the heart of the magGot… If you’ve yet to see the beginning of the end times, beat the following link!

I NEVER LEFT THE WHITE ROOM.

Below is the “English translation” off their site:

Prior Jeffery is a guy who lost his footing in life greatly and his vacillating mind is slowly but surely driving him to madness absolute outskirts. He sits there, alone in his cell and his thoughts wander off to dark places where demons and other creatures mixed with his own dark memories night … and there is nothing anyone can do to help Jeffery.

Michael Todd Schneider as well is probably best known as an actor / co / medregissör to August Underground’s Mordum with I have NEVER LEFT THE WHITE ROOM created an insane trip right down into the human psyche absolute darkest recesses. This is dirty, raw, bloody and senseless violence.

A small warning is probably also out of place – like most movies that go under the category of “extreme cinema” is that nothing works for everyone. This is sick stuff and you should absolutely know before you order.

Beniamino Tatarini

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Mr. BenArt, Allana, Max and I surprised Mr. Ben Tatar for his incredible 80th birthday…What a pleasure it was to spend the afternoon and evening with one of the most gifted actors I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with. We wrapped up the evening with the SAG awards and enjoying some of Allana’s delicious homemade peanut butter fudge…

The framed poster for the film: “Murder in a Blue World” (aka: Clockwork Terror)…now adorns Ben’s walls. It was a film Ben directed the English version for at his dubbing studio (Ameropa Studios), in Madrid. Ben also portrayed the voice of Chris Mitchum’s character. A terrific gift to Mr. Ben from Art. Oddly enough, I just now realized the irony of my gift to Ben…a watch…his broke this week, he’d bought it in 1962! (It was a wind up watch.) Not only had he worn the original while dubbing the film, but one of the titles of the film is “Clockwork Terror”…the irony…

Slew Hampshire…

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Slew Hampshire

For Immediate Release – magGot Films is violently ill with delight to officially announce our involvement with “Slew Hampshire” – the latest abhorrent creation from the mind of writer/director Flood Reed.  We’ve been in negotiations for weeks concerning this project, and finally – before the ink even dries on the contracts – this news is seeping from our no-longer tightly-sealed lips.  We’re here to let the horror underground know – “Slew Hampshire” is a game-changer.  It will be a serious force in our community, and magGot Films can’t wait to get our grimy paws – and leave our filthy fingerprints – all over it!

The feature film – a longtime-in-the-making collaboration between magGot Films and Reed – is slated for principal photography in May 2010, with a budget in the $150K range.  Principal roles have been cast, key creative and technical crew members have signed on, and locations are being secured.  magGot Films has been commissioned to provide consultation services throughout the next 4 months of preproduction, will be working closely with Reed’s production company (Gluefactory Features) in matters pertaining to Makeup/FX, and will be heavily involved in the post-production process.  And rumor has it, the film may even feature an appearance by mikey magGot, himself . . . be on the lookout . . .

magGot Films has seen the script, and has intimate knowledge of the resources being tapped in order to bring this project together . . . and rest assured, “Slew Hampshire” is going to make eardrum-piercing noise and put a lot of presently unknown talents on the map.  What “Slew Hampshire” offers the horror market far exceeds expectations for your average blood-and-guts slasher, supernatural thriller, monster movie or campy teen horror flick.  In fact, “Slew Hampshire” combines the best of these formulas into a genre-blending, mind-bending story that honors the greatest horror traditions, while challenging and shattering some of its most conventional elements.  Both hardcore and casual horror fans, alike, are going to be very, very impressed (and disturbed) . . . Stay tuned for much, much more to come . . .

Rocky?

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

A good while back, Patrick Jordan approached Benzy (Benzidream FX Studios) and I to help make a short film under 48 hours. It only seems appropriate to post this now, as it crosses all involved with the current production of Glengarry Glen Ross…which I’ve been strongly plugging along with Alexi Morissey, whom I met on this very film shoot. You can clearly see why magGot later approached Alexi to portray Mr. Ameropa in our upcoming feature: Let’s Make a Horror Movie

I shot it, Benzy edited and Patrick wrote, directed, produced and stars…
