“Comfort is treacher”-  Nivek Ogre

Making movies with magGot Films is like being thrown in the Gulag. You’re stuck there for an indefinite amount of time while various forms of physical and mental pain are inflicted upon your body. It’s a good thing that I believe a little pain should be injected into life on a consistent basis.

All joking aside, working with this group is infinitely more fun than anything else I do. Whether it’s watching Eric James slip into the misogynistic skin of Adrian Simms, writhing uncomfortably under Mr. Ben’s oppressive glare as I fill in for an actor or watching Michael fake rape Nikki for the umpteenth time, it never gets tiring (even when it feels like it is).

Even whoring out to other projects is more fun when I am with the magGot Films crew. I froze my sleep-deprived ass off working on G. Cameron Romero’s The Screening but it was cool because most of magGot Films was there. Not to mention a whole crew of kick ass make up artists who were a blast to work with. The same goes for Alan Rowe Kelly’s segment of Gallery of Fear entitled A Far Cry From Home. That was my vacation for the year and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone on the movie was an absolute treat to work with and I look forward to the magGot crew hooking up with Alan’s crew for his next film.

Besides all this movie crap, my day job is as Production Manager at Specter Studios. Specter is a Halloween mask, prop and costume manufacturer that operates 365 days a year (minus the standard vacation days) out of Pittsburgh, P.A. I know what your thinking “Ah no, he got a job, what a dick!” It’s very enjoyable while not being your “average” day job. Yet it still allows me to work in a field closely related to what I went to school for.

Which would be: Special effects make-up, learnt at the Savini school in good ole Monessen, P.A. the absolute asshole of the world (the town, not the school). I graduated from there in February of 2003 and basically have been doing all of the above since then.

Well that is it, shows over, time to go home. And do not forget to look for me making a fool of myself in the next magGot Films neon puke squirm fest.

I will never commit suicide out of despair
I will only do it when I am in total ecstasy
But then again, when I reach that state
I won’t really care
One way or another
